What’s in a name? 3 things to consider when creating a brand.

What’s in a name ? The Bible (Prov 22:1) itself has said a good name is to be desired more than treasure . Consequently, we all have worked hard to keep the  “good name”. We didn’t name ourselves though because the prerogative to do so was’nt ours but for those who born us. But today we will look at circumstances when the prerogative to give a name is ours and this specifically is when we conceive a company as ambitious entrepreneurs.  Obviously, even in this situation we want a name that is more valuable than treasures for our company and here are three important things to consider in this endeavor.

1. Customer focus

First and foremost, your company’s name or brand, its signs and colours must resonate with your customers needs.

2. Simplicity

Simplicity is all about legibility. A brand should clearly communicate the value being offered to your target market but a complex design can blur the communication.

3. Uniqueness

Uniqueness brings about differentiation. This will add to your competitive advantage.
