list creation.
As you
can see in the overview above a mailing list is the first thing to have when
doing a Product Launch or any digital marketing campaign.
A mailing
list is widely considered as a digital marketer’s insurance policy because it is
an asset you can truly own. Indeed, it is your piece of online real estate.
Therefore, its critical!
Four steps for creating a mailing list
Step 1
Know your customer – Create a buyer persona
The first step is to know your customer. I taught you that
you should therefore, create a buyer persona. A buyer persona helps create
tailor made content that resonate with your ideal customer.
Step 2
Create a lead magnet plus a blog post
Creating a
buyer persona enables you to create a lead magnet. A lead magnet enables you to
pre-qualify people who goes on the mailing list so that you ensure from the
start that only leads goes to your mailing list.
Step 3
Mailing list creation technics
I taught you that in order to create a clean mailing list
you must pre-qualify those who go into the mailing list. Pre-qualification
is for sizing prospects up for how well they fit with what you have to offer.
In order to do this you use (1) an opt-in page or (2) social prospecting.
Step 4
How to use email marketing platforms - Google Mail And
Contacts
After securing a lead by having their name and e-mail
address you create the actual mailing list using e-mail marketing platforms. I
taught you how to use two namely Google Mail and Contacts.
So these are the four steps for creating a mailing list.
Part 1 unveiled an opportunity called a Product Launch and
associated how-to-detail. A product launch cures a
perennial problem associated with selling a new product. Mastering it as an
entrepreneur is as good as acquiring a license to print money for some time.
In Part 2 we will expand more on this opportunity by giving
you more how-to-detail this time focusing on blog creation. As you can see from
the Product Launch Overview a blog post is one of the things you must also have
in order to do a Product launch.
But to make a blog post you should first make a blog. Right
? So how do you do that ?
To begin let me walk you back into time a little bit and tell you about how
I got started in all of this.
How do people get involved in this and how can you as well. Well you
know the way I got involved in this isn’t some big strategy play.
But it was something I was forced into by
poor sales results.
Its an exciting story about my
first years in real estate.
As the Zimbabwean economy went under my father always told me to start
my own “thing”.
Having being influenced by my father to like entrepreneurship I was
attracted to real estate.
But the competition there wasn’t kind to a newcomer.
You know I was just a school leaver who only
knew poem writing.
I still have fond memories of my masterpiece Wilderness Wanderer which talked about a beautiful girl searching
for true love. So I had no marketing skill at all, and I was eventually fired
for poor sales.
I joined another real estate agency. This time I wasn’t fired but the
agency owner simply told me the words, “maybe selling real estate isn’t for you”
so I left on my own.
Ultimately, I had to answer one question, “How
can I improve my sales of
real estate?”
Being on death ground my creativity was stimulated and I managed to turn
poem writing to property article writing. At first I distributed the articles
by e-mail as PDFs but I realized that to reach a bigger audience I also needed to
be on the world wide web.
A generous friend introduced me
to a blog and my first blog called Property Matters News was born.
Overtime I continued improving and perfecting my knowledge of a blog.
A turning point …
The year 2014 was a turning point because I managed to attract a client
who would later pay me USD 1 000.00 commission after she read a blog article
titled;
“ Financial consequences of
purchasing property from a seriously-ill seller and other purchases to avoid ”.
My increased knowledge of blogging and digital marketing continued to
earn me more clients.
Later two start-up owners after going through my LinkedIn profile approached
me so that I could help them transform their concept into a viable website.
Here is what one of them has to say;
