You must avoid this common online marketing mistake !
You have
been doing online marketing for sometime now. You have been active making
things like Facebook posts regularly. But you are getting worried now because
your online marketing has not made any meaning difference. You cant say those
posts have given you good clients that have really taken your company to the
next level.
This is
frustrating considering that online marketing is billed as the best. You are
also spending money so you want a return on investment. What might be going
wrong ? Well in this blog post I will share with you about a common online marketing
mistake many small businesses make.
So what is
this mistake ? You see to get wonderful results from online marketing your
efforts must be comprehensive by including five items which make up what is
called the sales funnel process. These are (1) lead generation and prospecting,
(2) pre-qualification of leads (3) demonstration of value (4) closing and
negotiating and (5) delivery and fulfilment .
The sales
funnel process refers to the buying process that companies lead
customers through when purchasing products. Here is a diagram illustrating the
sales funnel process;
So from the
word go it is important to note that the sales funnel process operate
comprehensively and this means that you cannot do one thing and leave the
others. For example if you decide to boost a post on Facebook or LinkedIn which
is a top of the funnel activity called lead generation then you must have the
rest of the funnel optimized otherwise you are flushing money down the toilet.
Optimizing
the rest of the funnel means making sure that other stages of the funnel like
pre-qualification of leads, demonstration of value, closing and negotiating etc
are there and working.
Few
examples of other activities or tools you must also do or use in addition to
boosting a post are employing opt in pages for pre-qualification and writing
content like blog posts, e-books etc for demonstration of value.
